I share Mr. Constant's concern about provisional county chairs being tapped for county chair interviews. This is a surprising change since the erstwhile Policy Committee agreed on the current verbiage, and to my knowledge, did not meet to retract it before convention. It seems our only recourse at this point is to make a motion after the current vote to add that verbiage back since a vote has been called and most proposed changes are innocuous. (@David Constant, if you were to make such a motion, I would support it.)
I do think I may have found a place where the intent was to put Texas Election Code rather than Bylaws, though.
