Meeting schedule - for after convention

One new add-on for tonight: convention documents (I'll explain tonight).

So:

Paul - Strategic Ballot Access Report
Jessi - Campaign status
Jessi - RLC meetup
Andrew - staff positions
Andrew - convention documents

Any other topics are welcome right up to a hard stop at 8:00p. Conversations can certainly be continued here on the forum or on Discord between now and our July meeting.
 
But we'll start with: meeting schedule. I think I just had that one baked in my brain, didn't even think to put it on the topic list....

Recap of conversation above in this thread: Looks like we're circling around third Thursdays for online meetings (whether they're informal or formal) and third Saturdays for in-person formal meetings. If nobody has a specific conflict with that we can just run with it; otherwise we'll discuss tonight.

I will be speaking more to this. The order is weighted by a likely outcome based on past performance of our candidates.

Guys, just to confirm, we landed on 3rd Thursdays for our more informal monthly online meetings and 3rd Saturdays for "official" business meetings, right? Which would be as follows?

2026
8/15 Summer SLEC Meeting (e-meeting)
11/21 Fall SLEC Meeting (Dallas area) This is fine for me, but I want to make sure everyone realizes our first in-person is the Saturday before Thanksgiving in case that impacts travel plans.

2027
2/20 Winter SLEC Meeting (e-meeting)
5/15 Spring SLEC Meeting (Houston area)
8/21 Summer SLEC Meeting (e-meeting)
11/20 Fall SLEC Meeting (San Antonio area)
 
All good except: The last version discussed was third Thursdays for all online meetings, informal or formal, and third Saturdays for in-person meetings. That would move August’s formal online meeting to Thursday 8/13.

If anyone has a problem with 11/21 (Saturday before Thanksgiving please speak up asap. We were going with third Saturdays to work around Dave’s second Saturday commitment, in November that may cause more problems than it solves.

Or maybe it’s a non-issue. Again, please speak up if you already have plans that conflict with 11/21. Going once….

On that schedule shouldn't February 17th be a Formal Online meeting? But maybe it was made informal as many of us will be in El Paso for National Convention the next day.
 
Proposal: We bump that one meeting (2/17) up to the SECOND Thursday (2/10), for a FORMAL online meeting, which would be the last one of this term. That would hold space for a meeting if needed, say in prep for convention season, or to deal with last minute business or reports, or if there are any shenanigans going on with respect to any of the above. If not needed, we can choose to waive that last meeting, or switch to a quick informal meeting, or whatever we want to do. Say we decide one way or the other on the January call.

Any objection?
 
As long as we're scheduling out a year in advance....

We will almost certainly host another New Years party for SLEC and Staff on 1/9/28. Pencil that in if you think you might want to join us.
