My Vice Chair and I are working on planning two events. One for Friday night and then after the meeting we have drinks at the Crickets which is right across street from Hilton. Stay tuned for updates about Friday. I’m hoping we can get it put together asap to get a good idea of how many plan on showing up!
 
Hey everyone, sorry I have not been very active, cancer has a way of taking over your life (my wife, not me). I will not be able to make the next SLEC meeting on May 3rd in Waco. Which will be my 2 in a row and will drop me as a SLEC rep. I was expecting it to be in Austin which would have spared me the hotel expense, so this just exceeds my budget. My guys are already working on the meeting next month to get me reinstated. Guess it just wouldn't be a term without "outlaw Dave" getting kicked from SLEC 😁. My wife is doing great and she should be finishing up treatment next week. God has really showed up in this experience and I am so thankful that we know Him. Love you all!

FRIDAY MAY 2ND THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR NEXT SLEC MEETING WE ARE GOING TO BE THROWING SOME 🪓
We have a bay reserved that can fit up to 24 people I believe and we would greatly appreciate if you could RSVP so that we can give them a slightly more accurate number on how many to expect.
Event will be 7:30-9:30 so you eat before if you’d like or bring your own food there! They got beer to choose from and it’s also BYOB (No glass bottles!)

 
Also—
AFTER THE SLEC MEETING ON SATURDAY WE WILL BE HOSTING AN AFTER PARTY AT CRICKETS (walking distance from Hilton). Last time SLEC was in town we did this and had a great turnout so I expect the same this go around! So if you aren’t leaving right after we adjourn then come hang out!

It is a right of passage. All the best SLEC reps get kicked off at least once.

Sorry to hear about your wife's health issues. Y'all are in my prayers. Take care of your family, and we'll see you at a future meeting.

Hey Dave, I have hotel points that I'd be happy to donate to cover your hotel if that would make a difference. Especially to a fellow cancer-caretaker. But if there are other considerations, that's OK, too. Y'all will be in my prayers either way.
